TC demo v0.2
I strongly recommended anyone who's trying to play this to read the "how to play" section below if that individual is unfamiliar with the combat in Honkai:StarRail.
Otherwise, the "set up" instructions should suffice.
How to "set up" : --------------------
1. Using your mouse, click the button on the right to open up a tab. This is a team-setup tab, where the player gets to assign team members.
2. In the team-setup tab, choose a character using the left-most panel's toggle box, which is just below the panel showing the character model. You must have 4 players to start.
2-5. You can adjust their order by dragging their respective panels up or down in the right-most section of the team-setup tab. Characters get placed in the actual battle stage (from Left to Right) in the order from Top to Bottom within that right-most panel.
3. Save, then close the team-setup tab by pressing the Red X at the top-right corner.
4. The left button at the start menu will be activated if your party has 4 members. This is the Play button that will initiate the combat.
How to "play": --------------------
Although a lot is abbreviated (like, a lot), this should be enough to let the player win.
When a member in your party gets its turn, you can decide what that member will do.
Basic Attack : the lower-positioned button among the two buttons at right most corner of the screen. Regenerates 1 skill point per use.
Skill : the upper-positioned button among the two buttons at right most corner of the screen). Consumes 1 skill point per use.
Skill points: maximum stack of five Skill Points. Current number is displayed on the bottom right of the screen next to the skill buttons. Initial skill points are 3.
Target : You can switch targets for your skill by clicking on the non-current target entities. Clicking on current-target entity will execute the current action selected.
Energy : Gained through various ways. Energy meter, which is the Ultimate button, is located above the HP panels for each ally characters. (this is at the bottom of the screen). When the energy meter is full, Ultimate can be used. Ultimate can be used as soon as it is charged, even if it’s not the character’s turn.
Turns : Order in turns are shown on the long vertical list of red/blue panels aligned at the leftmost edge of the screen. Turns are determined by each entity's inherit speed value.
Speed : (TL;DR version) Greater speed value means that upon that entity playing its turn, it will regain its turn relatively faster than how other entities with lower speed value will. For now, a character's speed value is only accessible through the "team-setup tab".
Current bug :
1. Retry buttons are bugged.
2. After ally death, if ult used by death ally, it assumes ally is not dead. It enqueues an ult turn of that ally to current action turn's ult queue. Requires testing the edge-case of enqueued character dying while enqueued as well. This might mean multiplexed queues might not be the ideal approach for implementing "interruption" within the current action turn domain.
